Hyori's Bed & Breakfast Season 2 효리네 민박2

Just finished watching this a few days ago...damn sad!!! 😭😭😭

I wasn't a fan at first. I didn't even watch Season 1.

Truth to be told, I started watching Season 2 just to see Park Bo Gum 박보검. 진짜요!!! After seeing a few episodes I can understand why people were such a big fan of the show! Even after Bo Gum left (he worked as a part timer) I still diligently watched every single week.

How Hyori, Sang Soon and Yoona welcomes the guest (with all their heart), how they interact among each other and the guests, how beautiful Jeju-do is, the advices Hyori gave, the relationship between Hyori and Sang Soon #relationshipgoals
Everything was beautiful!!!
Also not forgetting the animal family! I love Soon Sim & Soon Yi (one each from the dogs and cats).

Throughout the show ever since Hyori have the Bluetooth microphone, there were lots of songs introduced by her and the rest...I got to know 이소라 Lee So Ra's song: Track 3. It is sooooo beautiful! And Yoona composed a song too: 너에게. Her voice is sooo clean and the song slow...now it brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear it.

In the last episode, Hyori made a remark that sounded there won't be a Season 3. I'm totally rooting for Season 3. But for now it will be on my replay list for sometime...

HK Day 4

Day 4 is our last day.

We had breakfast at the nearby porridge shop. I suggested to have breakfast a bit later (more like I delayed) till VK is hangry. Reason being is that we don't have to fight for place / eat hastily with the school goers / office workers / workers in general during rush hour. We had a nice uninterrupted breakfast. So nice!

Then it is to the post office to mail our post cards! It's a tradition started since 2 years ago and I will try to diligently send postcards to a few selected people. I can't manage to send to a lot of people because need to think of what to write to each and everyone.

After the post office run, we adjourned to the boutique opposite of the road. VK suggested to explore the opposite since we have not been there yet. Despite our bag already bursting out of their seams (almost) we still manage to get some pieces.

Then head back to the hostel for last minute packing before checking out and making our way to HKIA.

The journey was smooth because we avoided the rush hour and got to the airport fairly quick. Walking to the airport reminds me of the TVB drama "Triumph to the Skies" 冲上云霄. So familiar yet so distant.

Last minute makan at the airport (Godiva ice cream!!!) And last minute buying of HK cookies and we finally made our way back on the plane.

It has been exactly a week since then. Truth to be told I hope to go there again! I just hope it won't take me 8 years to return like the last time.

HK Day 3

Didn't manage to update coz was busy packing...bought many stuff and had trouble with luggage space.

In the morning we had some Kungfu Dim Sum (recommended by our hostel). Both of us shared and luckily coz their portions are quite big. Do not think use Malaysian standard dim sum, it is not the same. On to our main agenda:

Well, we went to Lamma Island!!!

Another bucket list ticked off. Yay!

We had a long walk from Central MTR to the pier. And since it was Sunday, it was the maids day off and we were greeted with people mountain people sea in Central. As we walked to the pier it is more of tourist and locals there.

The journey to Lamma Island was quite smooth sailing and 20mins just went by in a flash. We walked for a bit in Lamma Island before adjourning for lunch. Lamma Island is something like our Pulau Ketam. But definitely bigger than Pulau Ketam. We really couldn't decide what to eat (scared kena tiok eating seafood there) so we had Japanese (also have seafood what).

After that we bought some local produce (I bought a lot of fried ikan bilis) and went back to the hostel to unload.

At night we decided to try taking the tram 丁丁车 from North Point to Causeway Bay. It is quite easy and fuss free (gotta keep your eyes peeled) and the ride on the tram was lovely.

Causeway Bay. Someone used to tell me to go there when go to HK to change your luck. Apparently the Feng shui in Causeway Bay is the best. I heard it 8 years ago and I still followed through...

HK Day 2

Day 2. We explored North Point 北角 and went to the market. The market is very lively and crowded with people mountain people sea.

We also managed to do some shopping around the area and we deposit all our purchases in the hostel after.

We then went to 中环 Central. We manage to go to Pottinger Street where the clobbered roads still remains. It's quite a steep climb (especially when it is sooo hot). We then adjourned to the famous roast goose 一乐 (Yat Lok Restaurant). We had to line up and wait a bit but the queue was fast. After that I was amandant about giving the mid escalator a go. Legs were sooo tired after walking.

After then we ended up at PMQ (one of my bucket list for this trip). It is sooo nice and comfortable to be in the refurbished former police quarters into an artistic space. It was then we ended up in 上环Sheung Wan and we headed to 深水埗Shum Shui Po. We don't have a specific place to go in Shum Shui Po and just kinda wandered aimlessly. And without us knowing we had walked to 南昌 Nam Cheong (which was 4 stations away from Sham Shui Po). Siao liao ok. No wonder our legs were screaming in pain...

Went back to hostel to rest a bit before having dinner nearby and tapau dessert for supper. We had 炖蛋 Steamed egg. Not bad!

HK - Day 1

Back after 8 years. It's been a while.

It's a small trip, 4D3N. #vytravels

The first half of today I'm on my own. From airport to hostel...all sendiri. First time call Grab to airport in KL. Had a leap of faith after getting info from Ze.

Next to meet VK at her HK office where she is finishing her marketing conference. VK then brought me around Wan Chai an area I have yet to explore (she explored a few days already). Quite a quaint place. HK a place soooo familiar but distant at the same time. HK-ers thought we are from China. #facepalm

Evening plans was to explore a bit of the area and did some light shopping. I say light but VK had done more damages prior.

Tomorrow we will continue.
