I nearly died today

Today I had a near death experience.

It was a rainy morning.
I might / was driving too fast.
As I came to a curve and pressed the brake, the car swerved to the right and left and swung around. I can't control the car.
Luckily there were no cars around me.
I don't dare to imagine what would have happened if there were.
I would be a goner.
It was soooo scary!

Now after the whole ordeal, I'm asking all the what if(s) question.

What if I had an accident?
What if I had caused hurt to the other accident party?
What if I had killed someone for my stupid driving?
What if I had lost my body's ability?
What if I became a vegetable?
What if I had died?
