221213 Me taim

Couldn't sleep in. Dunno why. Went out for a supposedly brunch which ended up as lunch. Read a few pages of a book which has a Christmas theme on it. What coincidence. Bought some gifts at POP for myself as a X'mas present. It was a much needed me time and I enjoyed every bit of it. I'm not sure whether is it that I didn't get to sleep in, my concentration literally went down the drain after lunch. Hope I get to do more some time.

211213 Wan Teing & Wei Jiann's wedding

Congrats to Wan Teing & Wei Jiann's wedding. Wishing the both of you with everlasting love and bliss.

My thoughts on 7 Habits of Highly Effective People program

Much has been learned in this 7 Habits of Highly Effective People program. There are a lot to be comprehended in the last 3 days program. And from this day forward, I pledge to apply as much of 7 Habits in my daily life to the best of my ability. As Rome was not build in a day, it will take time, perseverance and continuous effort on my part to make it happened.

Many things happened in these 3 days. We (YF, BH & me) made a lot of emotional bank accounts with the participants there. I would refer them as our team members. Imagine, we had already opened our hearts to them in the past 3 days! We even had a celebratory dinner at Ah Leong's restaurant in Bukit Tinggi Klang. It was so happening!

It was great fun. (I even cried during one of the sharing event on the second day. I'm normally not that teary but i'm not sure what got to me then) It was one of the many courses that I had attended prior which I truly, deeply loved. More to many outings and sharing of 7 Habits.

MCIL Annual Dinner 2013

This year marks the second year of the MCIL Annual Dinner. Last year was hosted by Sin Chew Group and this year by Nanyang Group. IMHO, I think this year is better as it is less messier and we get to see more of our colleagues.

This year also marks my second time performing on stage. Last year I was purely dancing. This year however, I was involved in dancing but it was in a sketch. We were the champion! Kudos to the group, 黄飞虫,13 点,and 四朵肥花. It was a very last minute thing and we only practiced for more than a week or so. Glad that everything worked and it was a great performance. We had a colleague to record our performance. If you are interested, link is below for your viewing.

Also there was reports of us in Sin Chew, Nanyang and China Press. I had taken the photos from Nanyang. Most reports are published on the 2-3 November 2013 issues.

It was great fun and I truly enjoyed myself with the 团康舞 and the live band. The coming dinner will have to wait till 1 May 2015 as they had changed the date. Looking forward.

Jun Sern and Shereen's wedding

The day that I have been anticipating the WHOLE week is finally here! It was such an honour to be part of a wedding of two dear friends whom I just adore and love.

I was part of the ji mui (bridesmaid) team although I know the groom longer...the day started early (6am) and we had a slow start. Was glad that everything was smooth sailing (we do have some hiccups along the way) and managed to pull it off.

Met so many friends, some I haven't met after Form 6 (that's 11 years) and glad to catch up.

To the newlyweds congratulations! Wishing you the best of everything!

Familiar spot

This place is a familiar spot. Be it now or 12 years ago. Each time I pass by, the memories now or before will come to mind. However, it's more of the now which is more prevalent. Haha.

Had the privilege of able to stop by and just having a good look at it.

Triumph in the skies II

This is also how I felt after reading the synopsis of the drama, where it was headed. Part of the reason that I did not watch it the same time as everyone else is because the first series is so dear to me that I didn't want that to be rubbed off.

It will be forever Zoe and Sam. And Bella. And the original S4 team. The writers who wrote the script didn't actually hang around the original version which made it rather sad. I remember reading somewhere that Francis Ng commented that it will be better if they (the script writers) should dwell on Zoe on the remaining time in her life as the viewers want to know what happened and have a closure of some sort. Totally agree. Also want to see Sam and Zoe at her end of time.

That being said, I still would want to catch a glimpse of Captain Cool in action. I will watch this series in due time given that I have the full drama with me. It also depends on my mood. At this time, I want to relish the good times it has brought me in the first series.

030813 Happy Full moon Day!

To: Rayyan Darwish Wong!

May you be blessed with health and laughter always.

Manicure #3

I'm really starting to like doing nailart. But I am just so lazy. So on a not-so-busy night while watching YouTube online, I'd figured why not? Just paint and see how it goes and how it turns out. This was done just 2 nights ago.

Result: Not bad at all.
I give 7/10.
(Pardon the dry skin. I blame the weather and my lack of water and moisturizer intake while in TW)

Day 10: TPE - KUL

Last day in Taipei. ArtDi and I had made agreement earlier that we will sleep in without rushing. Managed to sleep in till 8am. The sun is really shining by then. We grabbed breakfast at another 早餐店 nearby before returning back to our mini apartment for last minute packing and freshening up as we were needed to check out at 12pm.

Since our flight is in the late evening (11pm), we had lots of time to spare by then. After leaving our luggages at the reception, we then went to Xi Men Ding area for jalan. ArtDi wanted to go ice skate (but in the end didn't manage to find) while us girls went to makan and shopping at Daiso and the surrounding area. We saw Vanness Wu's team preparing the stage for his Different Man promo. We didn't wait for his appearance tho as we were catching a flight. That's how close we were to meeting a star in TW.

And lucky that we called a taxi to ferry us to Taoyuan Airport. I cannot imagine lunging everything to the airport via HSR or the MRT. I cannot even...

Day 9: Din Tai Fung - 城品

We woke up early (VK's order) coz we are going for a scrumptious breakfast at Din Tai Fung in Dongmen branch. It is said that it is the official branch and we just had to go there early to avoid the crowd. Upon reaching, there were not much people and we thought we went to the wrong branch? In fact we were early by their standard. Food was great tho.

We left at around 10am to go and look for the Taipei Grand mosque for WK and managed to find it after quite a long walk. We then walked back to Dongmen to take the MRT and were greeted by a sea of people at Din Tai Fung. So it is TRUE.

We then proceed to 忠孝东路 to visit their SOGO and 城品。城品 is their famous bookstore and PC swore by it that we had to go there! We ended up not buying books but some MEGA EXPENSIVE skincare after much demo on our hands and face. *faint* Women's money is soo easy to earn.

After that, as we were walking in the department store we spotted some really cute cuppie cakes. Since we didn't really celebrate VK's bday before flying off (we celebrated mom's and SF's. Poor VK got left out) and she did mentioned that to get some cake in TW for her, I thought it was perfect to get her some. Guess which is hers?

The iconic Taipei 101. We didn't go up there as we were warned that there were many Chinese tourists from China. We only took am image of it from a distance.

Day 8: Jiufen - Shilin Night Market

Next day, after having breakfast at a 早餐店 nearby, we traveled by the MRT to their TRA (similar to KTM) to Rui Fang where we go to Jiufen! On the way there, I forgot to apply my sun screen and bb cream. We stopped by 7-11 and bought a mini tube. I am so in love with their 7-11. They have EVERYTHING!!! So convenient. How I wish the same could be said about our 7-11. (We ate at their 7-11 3 days in a row till ArtDi said STOP!)

Jiufen is a quaint little place and I absolutely adored it! Bought so many yummy treats to be given out. Although it is a tourist attraction area, it felt about just right.

Instead of hogging all the yummy items to our next destination, we head back to our mini apartment to leave our items and to freshen up and off we went to the 渔人码头 for the scenery. We caught the sun set and made way to Shilin Night Market.

Shilin is bursting with people all around and there is so much to see! I regret to say that we didn't manage to explore each and every lane. (There are way to many and things just looked the same) but I manage to get a feel of it. Would go there again for the food. I didn't manage to eat much there. =(

Day 7: TaiChung - Taipei

Good bye Sun Moon Lake. Hello Taipei! Took the bus from Sun Moon Lake to TaiChung HSR station and made our way to Taipei.

First to check in Taipei Backpacker's Hotel (or was it Hostel). I was pleasantly surprised by the room they reserved for us to stay (going in 3 does have its perks). A mini studio apartment smack in Xi Men Ding! Loved the accommodation!

Then we toured around Xi Men Ding for something to eat. We forgo-ed the temple itinerary which VK had arranged coz ArtDi was a bit tired of temples. Instead when evening came, we went straight to Shi Da Street Market to jalan. Not too crowded. I like.

Day 6: Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village

Went to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village via foot and cable car. We went to most of the theme park facilities. I can only say the UFO was the nicest I played. The 3D cartoon was ok but the showing time sucks.
(No pictures taken on my HP coz my HP was low on battery)

Day 5: Sun Moon Lake

Traveled from Cing Jing (Oh I missed that place! The weather, our ming shu, the owners, the resident husky and little girl) down to Sun Moon Lake. Took the ferry over to the Eda Shao. Loaded our bags and we went jetty hopping (if there is such a word). We went to the second jetty before Eda Shao (I forgot the name), had the ah ma's herbal egg and went hiking up the mountain to the temple! I cannot believe that I really did hike that mountain! From the jetty returning to Eda Shao, I saw the temple being at the top of the hill and was stunned that I actually reaches there...

Day 4: Cing Jing Farm, Swiss Garden & Old England

Our itinerary for today was to tour Swiss Garden and finally have a hi-tea session at Old England. Saw lots of windmills and I bought a bubble blowing thingy which I alsolutely LOVED!!! The high-tea session was not bad at all. Felt ATAS for a while. Just a while. =p

Day 3: Kaoshiung - Tai Chung Nantou

Traveled via HSR from Kaohsiung to Tai Chung. Then kena picked up by a taxi uncle to our destination at Cing Jing Farm. I must say that saved us a lot of time. We were then whisked off to Cing Jing Green Farm where we saw some animal shows. It was overall a relaxing day.
